Same Day Dentistry
All In The Family Dental now offers same day dentistry using CEREC technology!
CEREC technology can restore damaged teeth with ceramic or tooth colored fillings/crowns within just a few hours. The innovation behind CEREC technology allows for easier tooth restoration, more convenient treatment, improved accuracy, and a better overall experience for our patients. During one single visit, we can now offer you natural-looking ceramic crowns right in the comfort of our clean and beautiful office!
What is CEREC Dentistry?
CEREC dentistry stands for “Chair-side Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics.” CEREC technology means that you can benefit from the convenience of natural-looking ceramic crowns, made on site while you wait, in a single office visit.
What speeds up the process? CAD/CAM technology. This revolutionary equipment, when applied to dentistry, can make a digital impression of your teeth and create your own ceramic crown individualized just for you. Leave our office with your new crown securely in your mouth without the headache of returning for multiple office visits.
The CEREC same-day dentistry process has five main steps:
- You see your dentist who prepares the tooth for the new crown.
- A camera captures the area to be treated, no impression is needed.
- The dental crown is created as a 3D model on the computer.
- The 3D crown is sent to be milled from a ceramic block.
- The finished ceramic crown will be ready to be checked and cemented permanently.
What Are the Benefits of CEREC Dentistry?
No More “Goopy” Impression Materials
Say goodbye to biting on the goopy impression material for several minutes, while being completely numb. Your dentist or assistant will now use a small wand camera that can capture your full dentition in seconds and then transfer this to the computer.
No Temporary Crowns
No more breaking those pesky temporary crowns. With CEREC the final crown is inserted directly without any temporary compromises needed.
No Follow-Up Crown Seat Appointments
CEREC enables your dentist to insert esthetic ceramic crowns or partial crowns in a single session. The advantage of this is that only one appointment is necessary, which means only one injection, and then you can deal with other things than another visit to see your dentist.
Long-Term Stability You Can Count On
More than just a theory: With CEREC you can rely on quality that has been proven millions of times over in the practice. Furthermore, thanks to your new dental prosthesis made by CEREC, your smile will be just as lovely many years later as it is directly after receiving the prosthesis.
CEREC Tooth Looks Like a Real Tooth & is Strong Like a Real Tooth
Due to the translucency of ceramics, the dental prosthesis looks like a real tooth. In a ceramic dental prosthesis, no dark edges are visible as is so often the case in conventional ceramic fused to metal crowns. Ceramic is very close to the hardness of the natural tooth, thus preventing wear of the tooth, which unfortunately so often occurs with other materials.
