If you have discolored teeth, overcrowded teeth, a broken tooth, or anything in between, cosmetic dentistry procedures may be a great fit for you. Our exceptional staff will work with you to develop a treatment plan to achieve a beautiful smile.
Dental Veneers
A veneer is a thin, tooth-colored shell that covers the front side of a tooth. Veneers are custom-made by a dental lab for specific patients’ teeth. Veneers can be used to correct stained, chipped, decayed, stained teeth, or slightly crooked teeth. They can usually be completed in as little as two dental visits!
A small amount of tooth structure is removed and then an impression is taken. Temporary coverings are made to fit over the teeth. A skilled dental lab technician creates the custom veneers and then you return to our office and we will remove the temporaries and permanently cement the veneers, creating a beautiful, long lasting, healthy smile.
Dental Bonding/Tooth Colored Dental Fillings
There are many times when teeth are chipped and cracked and can be filled very quickly and in a painless manner. Dental tooth bonding is one way to fix these small chips and cracks. Bonding uses a composite tooth-colored material to fix the chips and cracks, and it is also a great way to fix a tooth that may be smaller or misaligned teeth. The tooth-colored material is matched to the natural tooth and will fix any imperfections you may notice. The entire process is quick, usually lasting about an hour, and any of our cosmetic dentists can perform it for you and your family.
Tooth-colored fillings have many advantages including keeping as much healthy tooth structure as possible and can be used in place of silver fillings (amalgam fillings) so they are unnoticed. In order to do dental bonding on a patient, the dentist will roughen the surface of the tooth. Once the tooth is rough we use a special bonding liquid on the tooth, and then place the tooth-colored filling and use a powerful, blue light so the material sets up properly. When our tooth-colored material is set up, the material is shaped and smoothed to match the teeth around it for natural-looking results.
Porcelain Crowns & Ceramic Crowns
Crowns are commonly referred to as “caps.” Crowns or caps are permanently cemented onto a tooth. Crowns are most often used when teeth are cracked, broken, decayed and worn. A crown returns structure, strength, and function to a tooth. It fits tightly around the tooth and protects the tooth from further damage and functions like a natural healthy tooth.
Porcelain crowns and ceramic crowns are the most aesthetic choices for crown materials. Porcelain and ceramic crowns are custom matched to the shade of each patient’s teeth. This allows the crowned teeth to blend in with the rest of your smile.
Crowns usually take just a couple of short appointments. Crowns are cemented permanently to the tooth and after it is placed it can be cared for just like your natural teeth. Daily brushing and flossing will protect the crown and prevent bacterial growth. All in the Family Dental will check the crown structure and integrity at your regular 6-month cleanings and check ups.
Teeth Whitening
Almost everyone is interested in having whiter teeth! All in the Family Dental has a state-of-the-art whitening system. We want each patient to achieve the whitening results they desire. We carefully evaluate each patient and discuss the various whitening possibilities. We always get a baseline shade and then make appropriate whitening recommendations.
We offer a one-hour in-office whitening procedure that requires no anesthesia and no heat lamp. This procedure can enhance and brighten your teeth several shades in just one hour. We often recommend maintaining this procedure by using our take-home whitening system. Our take-home whitening system consists of custom-made whitening trays and professional-grade teeth whitening gel. We will provide detailed instructions for the at-home whitening tray system and follow up with each patient until they achieve desired results.
